This is a reminder to please continue to shut your water off at the street!
Every year, our community comes together for 4th of July festivities and events, including our annual parade and our Independence Day party at the common area. This year, in addition to our regular events, the Skamania County Fire Protection District #6 Volunteer Firefighters Association will be hosting a Fourth of July Community Fundraising Event on Saturday, July 6th.
It will be a fun-filled day of food, games, and entertainment for the whole family. The day's activities will kick off with a parade, and will then include a Kid’s Zone, Coloring Contest, BINGO, Fire Truck Tours, Photo Opportunities, Silent Auction, Community BBQ, and MORE! These activities will be hosted from 11:30am - 4:00pm at the fire station next to the Eagle Cliff Store and Campground.
Proceeds will go towards the purchase of much needed equipment and supplies including Extrication Tool (Jaws of Life, $14K), Uniforms, Bunker Pants ($1500/item), Safety Gear and SCBA (breathing apparatus $2800-$3K ea.). The fundraising committee's goal is to raise $40K to purchase these items for our fire department.
In addition to individual donations, the fire department is seeking corporate sponsors for the event. Please see the attached sponsor letter and sponsor registration form for details.
The flyer for the event is below... hope to see you there!
